The "I Hate Pine Tree Caches" Information Page

We invite any cache hider to join in on our "balancing" of the pine tree caches. It is of course best if you have hunted (and found) at least a few of the PTMMD caches and can share in our loathing of pine tree caches.

This is all done in fun and with the intent of providing a good excuse to put out more caches for everyone to find.

If you're wondering how Marci is taking this just take a look at this cache: GC2J632 - PTMMD Camden Yard. It's obvious she is taking the idea as intended. She even has a link in the cache listing to this page.

Before you begin we would appreciate letting us know that you intend to use the theme. Tell us generally what you have in mind. You can also ask any questions you might have. Send us an email at:

There are just a few rules we expect you to follow:

1. The cache can NOT be placed in a pine tree.

2. The cache name should start with "IHPTC - " to warn everyone of what is to come. Something like: "IHPTC - Flooding Likely".

3. The cache can NOT be placed in a pine tree.

4. Use the backround of the official IHPTC logo in the cache listing. Put the following in the "Background Image URL" for the cache listing:
http://neogeohams.ak8b.us/ihptc100.jpg
5. The cache can NOT be placed in a pine tree.

6. Use our header in the cache listing. Because it is so long you have to leave the short description blank and use the long description. Use the following to start off your long description:

<center><img src="http://neogeohams.ak8b.us/ihptc100.jpg" hspace="25"> <img src="http://neogeohams.ak8b.us/ihptc100.jpg" hspace="25"> <img src="http://neogeohams.ak8b.us/ihptc100.jpg" hspace="25"></center> <p>The I Hate Pine Tree Caches (IHPTC) series came about when a number of us decided that we hated hunting caches in pine trees.</p> <p>Yes Marci, (<a href="http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=81203">LuvWahoo</a>) we love your caches even if they are in pine trees. We do this to honor you and the large number of caches you put out. Some of us just groan when we see a pine tree - but we still hunt them.</p> <p>For those of you who haven't hunted Marci's Pine Trees Make Me Drool (PTMMD) series you don't know what you're missing. We just had to come up with something to balance them out. The one thing that the IHPTC caches will have in common will be that they will NOT be in a pine tree!</p> <p>If you are interested in joining the fun with an IHPTC cache or two (or ten) of your own, click <a href="http://neogeohams.ak8b.us/ihptcinfo.html">HERE</a> for more information.</p> <br><center><img src="http://neogeohams.ak8b.us/ihptcsep.jpg"></center><p>** Your Info Here **</p>
You can then change the ** Your Info Here ** part at the end to whatever else you need for your cache description.

The header above looks like this:

The I Hate Pine Tree Caches (IHPTC) series came about when a number of us decided that we hated hunting caches in pine trees.

Yes Marci, (LuvWahoo) we love your caches even if they are in pine trees. We do this to honor you and the large number of caches you put out. Some of us just groan when we see a pine tree - but we still hunt them.

For those of you who haven't hunted Marci's Pine Trees Make Me Drool (PTMMD) series you don't know what you're missing. We just had to come up with something to balance them out. The one thing that the IHPTC caches will have in common will be that they will NOT be in a pine tree!

If you are interested in joining the fun with an IHPTC cache or two (or ten) of your own, click HERE for more information.
